Does the strobe ball need batteries?
SodaPup doesn't say, and impact-activated strobes usually have a sealed internal cell that isn't replaceable. We'd treat it as non-replaceable until told otherwise rather than promise you a battery door that may not exist.

Is it safe for a heavy chewer?
No ball is. SodaPup says so themselves. Use these for fetch, take them away afterwards, and retire any ball that's been punctured — a split ball is a choking risk.

Which one for swimming?
The Floating Strobe Ball. It's the only one stated to float.

What size dog?
No dimensions are published, which is a real limitation. If you have a very small or a giant breed, ask before ordering rather than guessing.
