SodaPup Lick Mats With Suction Cups — 8in Round
8in diameter · 0.375in thick · six designs · sticks to smooth surfaces
Same idea as a flat lick mat, with one difference that turns out to matter a great deal: it stays put. Press it to tile, glass, a bath side or a smooth floor and the dog can work at it without pushing it into the next room — which is what makes it the version people use for bath time and nail trims.
What The Suction Changes
- 🛁 It works on a vertical surface — stick it to the side of the bath at nose height and a wash becomes something the dog is distracted through rather than restrained through.
- 🚫 No more chasing it round the kitchen — a flat mat migrates. This one doesn't, which matters most with the dogs who need it most.
- 📐 8in across, 0.375in thick, 4 oz — thicker than the flat mats, so the grooves hold more.
- 🧊 Freezer-safe for a longer session — spread, freeze one to two hours, stick it up. That's a genuinely long distraction.
- 🇺🇸 BPA and phthalate-free, USA-made — SodaPup's own rubber compound, vet-approved and dishwasher-safe on the top rack.
Specs & Care
8in diameter, 0.375in thick, 4 oz. Suction cups on the reverse affix to smooth, non-porous surfaces.
Six designs at $15.95 each: Yellow Duckies, Purple Lotus, Orange Camp, Green Camp, Red Fireworks and Blue Stars & Stripes.
Made in the USA from SodaPup's proprietary rubber, free of BPA and phthalates. Freezer-safe.
Care: warm soapy water, or the top rack of a dishwasher only. Safety, stated by SodaPup: this is not a chew toy. Supervise your dog, take it away if they bite rather than lick, and replace it at the first sign of damage.
Licking is self-soothing behaviour — it releases tension and stimulates saliva, which is why a mat buys quiet minutes a bowl never will. SodaPup positions these for anxiety, grooming, nail trims, crate settling and slowing a fast eater down.
FAQ
What surfaces will it actually stick to?
Smooth and non-porous: tile, glass, an acrylic bath, a sealed worktop, a stainless fridge door. It will not hold on wood grain, textured vinyl, grouted tile or anything dusty. Wipe the surface first — that's the difference between it holding and not.
Will it hold against a big dog pulling at it?
For licking, yes. For a dog who grabs the edge and yanks, no suction cup wins that. It isn't a chew toy and shouldn't be treated as one.
How is this different from the flat lick mats?
This one is round, thicker, and sticks down. The flat range comes in two sizes and costs slightly less. If you're using it for bath time or a fidgety dog, buy this one.
Can I freeze it with the suction cups on?
Yes — it's freezer-safe as a whole. Let it come off the very coldest edge before pressing it to a surface, since cold rubber grips less well.
Is it safe for cats?
Yes, and the suction is arguably more useful for a cat, who will otherwise relocate a flat mat entirely.
🎁 Fill It Properly
The mat is the easy part. A Farm To Pet topper loosened with water spreads into the grooves and freezes cleanly — three calories a teaspoon, one ingredient.
Works on any diet.
