Fresh Food in a Shelf-Stable Pouch — 3 oz & 9 oz

Never Frozen No Subscription Bone Broth Simmered AAFCO All Life Stages

Fresh dog food usually comes with a freezer full of trays and a subscription you have to manage. This is the same idea without either: chicken, carrot and pumpkin simmered in chicken bone broth, sealed in a pouch that lives in the cupboard until you open it. Never frozen, no thawing, no delivery schedule.

Why the Pouch Matters

  • 🥫 Shelf-stable, so no freezer space — the practical difference between this and most fresh-food brands. It sits in the cupboard and is bowl-ready the moment you open it.
  • 🍲 Simmered in chicken bone broth — small-batch cooked rather than extruded, with whole carrot, pumpkin, brown rice and green pea in the recipe.
  • 🌿 Six superfoods in the blend — goji berry, sage, thyme, kelp powder, turmeric and coconut oil — the same immunity blend across the Gently Cooked range.
  • 🐕 Complete for every life stage — AAFCO all life stages, including growth for large-breed dogs 70 lb or more as an adult — so it works as a full diet, not only a topper.
  • 🥄 Two sizes for two jobs — 3 oz pouches suit small dogs and topping; 9 oz pouches suit feeding a medium or large dog as a complete meal.
Nutrition, Feeding & Ingredients

Guaranteed analysis: crude protein 10% min · crude fat 5% min · crude fiber 3% max · moisture 78% max. (Wet-food figures look lower than kibble because of the water content — compare on a dry-matter basis, not directly.)

Feeding, 9 oz pouches per day: 2–10 lb, ½–¾ · 11–25 lb, ¾–1½ · 26–50 lb, 1½–2½ · 51–75 lb, 2½–3½ · 76–100 lb, 3½–4½ · over 100 lb, add ½ per 25 lb. 3 oz pouches: 1 pouch per 5 lb of body weight per day.

FAQ

How is this different from frozen fresh food?
Mainly logistics. Frozen fresh brands need freezer space, thawing time and usually a subscription. This is cooked and sealed so it's shelf-stable until opened — you buy it like any other food and it's ready immediately. Once open, it goes in the fridge and should be used within three days.

Can I use it as a topper instead of a full meal?
Yes, and plenty of people do — the 3 oz pouch is a convenient size for it. Just count the calories against the rest of the bowl: 128 kcal per 3 oz pouch adds up faster than it looks on a small dog.

Is grain-free better?
Not inherently. This recipe includes brown rice, and grain is only a problem for dogs with a specific sensitivity. If you're avoiding grain for a diagnosed reason, the grain-free recipes in the range are the ones to look at.

How many pouches does a big dog need?
A 51–75 lb dog needs 2½–3½ of the 9 oz pouches a day as a complete diet. That's worth pricing out before you commit — fresh food is more expensive per calorie than kibble, and this is where people are usually surprised.

What does the AAFCO statement mean?
AAFCO nutritional adequacy statements describe whether a food is complete and balanced, and for which life stage. They are the industry standard and worth checking on any food you buy. This one covers all life stages including large-breed growth, which is the broadest category and means it's suitable for puppies through seniors.

🎁 Try the Variety Pack First

If you're not sure your dog will take to fresh food, the Gently Cooked variety pack includes Chicken & Pumpkin alongside beef, lamb, duck, salmon and vegetarian recipes — a cheaper way to find the one they actually finish.

Fussy dogs are the main reason people buy a variety pack.
