Crunchy Munchies Appley Crisp — Apple Cinnamon Dog Treats
5 oz bag · roughly 25 baked bites · 12 kcal each
An apple-and-cinnamon biscuit that snaps when your dog bites it — the sound half of them are actually in it for. Seven ingredients, apple puree and real cinnamon among them, and nothing on the label you'd need to look up. At 12 kcal a bite they're small enough to hand out through a training session without wrecking the day's calories.
What's Actually In The Bag
- 🍎 Apple puree, not apple flavoring — the fruit is in the recipe by name, sitting alongside cinnamon and vanilla in a seven-item ingredient list.
- 🥣 Oat flour and rolled oats do the work — the base is oats rather than wheat or corn, which is why the bite is crisp instead of dense. It also means these are not grain-free — see the FAQ.
- 🚫 No meat of any kind — useful if you're keeping a dog's protein sources narrow for any reason. Worth raising with your vet if that's why you're here.
- 📏 12 kcal a bite, about 25 to a bag — small enough to use as a reward rather than a meal — roughly 3 a day for a 10 lb dog, 7 for a 30 lb dog.
- 🇺🇸 Made by a 60-year-old family company — Health Extension is New York based and family-owned, and sources these ingredients in the USA.

FAQ
Is that real apple, or apple flavoring?
Apple puree, listed by name as the fifth of seven ingredients. There is no "natural apple flavor" line on this label, because there doesn't need to be.
Is cinnamon safe for dogs?
In the quantity used here as a baking spice, cinnamon is not considered a problem for dogs. A dog getting into a jar of the raw ground spice is a different situation — that isn't what this is.
Are these grain-free?
No. Oat flour and rolled oats are the first two ingredients. If your vet has your dog on a grain-free diet, this is not the treat for them.
How many can my dog have in a day?
The usual guidance is that treats stay at or under 10% of daily calories. At 12 kcal a bite that works out to about 3 a day for a 10 lb dog, 7 for a 30 lb dog and 10 for a 50 lb dog. Less for a dog who isn't very active.
Can a senior dog with worn teeth manage them?
These are baked hard on purpose. If your dog has dental pain or missing teeth, a soft treat is the kinder choice — worth asking your vet what texture suits them.
